Why Virtual Support Can Help
A safe first step from home
A virtual consultation allows us to talk through your dog’s behaviour without putting them under extra pressure during the appointment.
It can be especially useful for:
- discussing what is happening in detail
- reviewing videos safely
- identifying patterns, triggers and routines
- planning immediate management
- deciding whether clinical behaviour support may be needed
Virtual support can also be helpful if you live outside my in-person travel area or would prefer to talk things through from home.
Virtual Behaviour First Aid may be a good fit if

You live outside my in-person travel area.

Your dog is stressed by visitors or new people.

You want to talk things through before deciding what support to book.

You have videos that show the behaviour safely.

You need practical first steps while waiting for a vet appointment or referral.

Travelling would add unnecessary pressure for your dog or household.
Your virtual consultation includes
Preparing For Your Virtual Consultation
Before your appointment
You may be asked to complete your pre-consultation form and, where helpful, share short videos of your dog’s behaviour before the appointment.
Useful videos may include:
- Your dog’s usual routine at home
- Safe footage of the behaviour you are concerned about
- Visitor set-up or settling areas
- Walking clips filmed from a safe distance
- Equipment, entrances, exits, or areas where difficulties happen
Videos should only be taken where it is safe and does not put your dog, people, or other animals under unnecessary pressure. You do not need to deliberately trigger the behaviour.
This is behavioural first aid, not a full clinical behaviour package
This consultation does not include a full clinical assessment, diagnosis, veterinary behaviour report, medication advice, or ongoing clinical behaviour support.
If your dog needs clinical behaviour support, I will explain this clearly and guide you through the veterinary referral pathway.
How It Works
Frequently Asked Questions
Will a virtual consultation work if you cannot meet my dog in person?
Yes. Virtual support can be useful for first-aid guidance, triage, management planning and video review. In some cases, in-person or clinical behaviour support may be recommended afterwards.
Do I need to film my dog reacting?
No. Please do not deliberately put your dog into a situation they cannot cope with just to capture video. If video is useful, we will use safe, appropriate footage or discuss alternatives.
Can I book this from anywhere in the UK?
Yes. Virtual Behaviour First Aid Consultations are available across the UK.
What happens if virtual support is not enough?
I will explain the recommended next step clearly. This may include follow-up support, in-person support if you are local, veterinary review, or a Clinical Behaviour Support Package.
