This call may be useful if you are unsure where to begin, or whether Canine Kin is the right support option for you and your dog. It can help with:

Walks that feel stressful or overwhelming

If walks have become difficult because your dog barks, lunges, freezes, pulls, panics, or struggles around other dogs, people, traffic or new environments.

Settling at home

If your dog finds it hard to relax, rest, switch off, cope with visitors, or manage everyday household routines.

Visitors and everyday routines

If you need support with greeting visitors, doorways, car travel, handling, grooming, or other daily situations.

Confidence-building

If your dog seems worried, sensitive, easily startled, shut down, or unsure in new situations.

Life Skills

If you want kind, practical support with early learning, confidence, focus, recall foundations, lead walking, or settling.

Understanding whether clinical behaviour support may be needed

If your dog is showing signs of fear, aggression, separation-related distress, a sudden change in behaviour, or complex emotional struggles.

Important note

For concerns involving fear, aggression, separation-related distress, sudden behaviour change, pain, or complex emotional concerns, clinical behaviour support may require veterinary referral.

This is because health, pain and behaviour are closely connected. Where a referral is needed, I will explain this clearly and guide you through the process.

A free support call is not a full behaviour assessment, diagnosis, or emergency service. It is a starting point to help you understand the most appropriate next step.

Why choose Canine Kin?

Support designed for real life

Helping you understand what your dog may be communicating

Your dog’s wellbeing is always at the heart of support. The aim is to help them feel safer, calmer and better understood.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Behaviour Support Call really free?

Yes. The call is free and there is no pressure to book further support. It is designed to help you understand which option may be most appropriate for your dog.

Is this a full behaviour consultation?

No. The call is a short discovery conversation. A full behaviour consultation involves a more detailed history, assessment and support plan.

Do I need a veterinary referral?

Not always. Some life skills support may not require veterinary referral. However, clinical behaviour concerns, including fear, aggression, separation-related distress, sudden behaviour change, or complex emotional concerns, may require referral from your veterinary surgeon.

Can you help if I do not live near Worcestershire?

Yes. In-person support is available around Worcestershire and surrounding areas. Virtual behaviour support is available across the UK where appropriate.

What if I am not sure what type of help my dog needs?

That is exactly what the free call is for. You do not need to have everything worked out before getting in touch.
